Sakuragi Hanamichi is a high school freshman who was dumped by 50 girls in his junior high. When he entered the Shohoku high school, he joins the basketball team to get close to the team captain's sister, Akagi Haruko. Thus, he begins his trial of learning to play basketball from the ground up and how to get along with the rest of his teammates.. Last episode: SLAM DUNK!
The battle between the combo team and Shohoku has reached its climax, and the one deciding its conclusion is Sakuragi with a Slam Dunk. Though Shohoku has more important things to look forward to, such as the Inter High Tournament.
